great chase general rules of participation The �Great Chase� general concept features teams of four navigating their way through a prescribed transit route system that will have a number of check points that will provide further course adjustments. The general length of time to complete the �Great Chase� will be approximately five hours, with the event beginning from a central starting point using a staggered start. Teams will be given transit schedules and a prescribed first destination (check point) that they must get to using the prescribed transit system. At each check point the team will be given a subsequent check point to navigate to and so on concluding at the original starting point approximately five hours later. Team times will be calculated based on the time to properly complete the prescribed course plus or minus penalties or credits as assigned by event organizers some of which are outlined herein. Each team of four is considered registered for the event only when registration participation form is fully complete including all registration fees and waivers signed by all team participants. Each participating team must pre-select a team category. Each participating team may participate in the event pledge program for the charity of their choice. There will be no refunds issued for registration or pledges regardless of cause. general rules of participation1. Each team will consist of four individuals, all team members must be eighteen years of age, proof of age maybe required. Each team will participate on the �Great Chase� with all four team members, all registered team members must begin, participate in and complete the �Great Chase�. No substitutions will be allowed following the teams beginning of the �Great Chase�. 2. Participating teams may add an additional team member (fifth team member) to act as a team manager, pledge program manager and general team coordinator. This individual cannot participate in the �Great Chase� however does act as the team representative as it relates to communications and team / organizational management. This Team Manager is responsible to communicate with event organizers and obtain team waiver signatures, manage pledge program participation as well as represent the team at any organizational meetings and/or gatherings. 3. Each participating team may raise funds through the pledge program for the charity of their choice. Teams are to obtain charitable receipts for pledges raised from the charity of their choosing as a total of pledge funds raised by the team. 4. Times for team will be determined using the total amount of time the team takes to complete the prescribed course as outlined by event organizers. Teams will undergo a staggered start and will only be eligible to start and finish with all properly registered team members present. Times will be adjusted as follows;
5. Team members participate in a manner that respects individuals, is safe and adheres to the event rules as they are outlined and or implemented by event organizers. 6. Team sponsorship will not necessarily be recognized by event organizers, event organizers are under no obligation to recognize any team sponsor or team. Event sponsors assigned by event organizers take precedence over all other sponsors representations. 7. Each team member and team will hold harmless from any and all actions or claims event organizers, sponsors, charity, FMG Events, The Great Chase, K.D.K.S. Facility Marketing Group Inc., other registered participants, the participating transit system designated by event organizers, their adheres, partners, employees, Boards of Directors, management, sponsors, volunteers, of same regardless of the cause. 8. All event awards are exclusively decided by event organizers. 9. Each team member must represent the selected team category including the team manager. All male teams must have all male team members, all female teams must have all female team members, mixed teams must be comprised of two females and two males the team manager in this category can be male or female. 10. Each participating team member must follow exclusively the course as outlined by event organizers without exception. Any unauthorized course variation will result in time penalties and or disqualification being assigned. No other mode of transportation other than that assigned by event organizers can be used. Event organizers are not responsible for delays, adjustments, breakdown, or other prescribed transportation variables that may arise. These variables are considered part of the event.
