Practices
Your team registration includes one
practice session. Each team participant must attend practice, which
is considered mandatory - this is with a coach/steersperson who gives
specifics about the technique and course. Each Dragon Boat team
will practice and race with a full team of 22 participants per boat
(including 1 drummer/manager and 1 steersperson/coach (provided by
festival)).
All registered Dragon Boat Participants
must wear PFD's (Personal Floatation Device) at all practices and races (one supplied or personal one
that has been approved by a FMG Coach. The PFD must be Coast Guard and DOT
approved.

Race Format
Teams will practice and race on a
course of 500 meters. Course outline and specifications will be discussed
at practice.
Race Schedule
Official Race schedule will be
forwarded to all team managers through several emails or faxes sent out
prior to the event date.
