The race schedule will be available one week prior to the event.
opening ceremonies
Opening Ceremonies will take place on Friday, August 12 to kick off the event's festivities
As tradition dictates, the beautiful
Dotting of the Eye Ceremony is performed to awaken the dragon spirit and start
the festivities. All Dragon Boat Team participants and spectators are encouraged to come out and can witness this
colorful and exciting ritual in the Opening Ceremonies.
dragon's lair
A great place to let loose and put your paddles up! This area will be a designated sheltered area for teams to meet
and socialize with other team members as they wait for their scheduled race heat. In this area all food, alcoholic
and non-alcoholic beverages will be served here. We encourage all teams to use this area as a central gathering
location prior to your teams scheduled heats. Race results will be posted in this tent.
closing ceremonies
The closing ceremonies and award presentations will take place in the Dragon's Lair immediately following racing on
Sunday, August 14, 2005.
